As the Deployment SupportLead in our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly motivated engineers.who are responsible for the operational support of our products and front-line customer management for any incident reports. You bring issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.

This position requires frequent travel to client locations.

Who you are
  • You coordinate team activities and workload through tasks, milestones, and objective tracking along with metric reporting.
  • Responsible for monitoring, supporting, and administering production environment with initial onboarding, upgrades and recovery
  • Design and maintain automation code for deployment and configuration of systems and services
  • Follow production deployment procedures and design the best technical approach with network and access constraints
  • Follow production support processes to document day to day support activities, contribute to knowledge base.
  • You are a road warrior, available to travel and remain on client site.

What you'll need
  • 4+ years’ experience of leading a team of 5+ Data Engineers.
  • 7 Eight (8) years of product administration experience in RHEL Linux based environment.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of related experience as a Hadoop administrator with an Expert level knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Impala, Hue, Spark, Hive, Kafka, YARN, and ZooKeeper.
  • Must have prior Hadoop cluster deployment experience in adding and removing nodes, troubleshooting failed jobs, configure and tune the clusters, monitor critical parts of the cluster.
  • Must have knowledge of best practices for Data Warehousing including business intelligence, and business continuity planning.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloudera, Working with data delivery teams to setup new Hadoop users. This includes setting up Linux users, setting up Kerberos principals and testing HDFS, Hive, Pig and MapReduce access for the new users.
  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure
  • Competency in Red Hat Linux administration (security, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and monitoring).
